Jingletown Lofts

Jingletown Lofts is a six unit townhouse project of all new construction, near the thriving Oakland waterfront area. Because of its unique location, a transition point between the existing manufacturing facilities and the ever-expanding urban-infill housing in Oakland, the client wanted lofts that can serve as a purely residential use or as a workspace for an artist or craftsman. Accordingly, two car garages were created with ten-foot high ceilings, providing adequate workspace on the first floor, with a large opening to the street to allow for movement and loading of large materials. The first floor can also be subdivided, so that half of the garage can be converted to a studio rental unit.
