Beyond the lobby and dining room is a small courtyard filled with lush, tropical plantings. A koi pond with fountain are waiting to be discovered near the rear of the court, framed by a trellised stair, overgrown with seasonally-changing ivy. Each guest suite has a small outdoor space that overlooks the courtyard. The building was designed with sustainability in mind. It will have photovoltaic panels on the roof and a ceiling fan in each guest suite. The project is set to open to guests in autumn of 2008.
